Not unexpectedly, the children in our homes too have a number of medical issues. Some have been abandoned at birth due to birth defects, some have had congenital defects left untreated due to their poor economic situation and some have had medical issues detected upon observation by our caring staff.

In some cases, our plight has been alleviated through our partners in the care and concern for children. The goal is that our children will be able to enjoy a normal life after receiving corrective surgeries from our medical partners, MedArts and HIS Foundation.

Some of our medical cases include:

Luke - Abandoned as he was born with a congenital dextracardia condition. He was blue for much of the time but with God?s grace, we located and were able to move Luke to another home near Tianjin run by the Philip Hayden Foundation which is equipped to handle such cases. When Luke is 1 year old, his body will be strong enough to undergo corrective surgery. We are blessed to have a caring donor sponsor the costs of his surgery.

En Cai - Also abandoned at birth due to cleft palate and a heart condition. After 3 months, we also had to re-locate her to Philip Hayden Foundation. We pledged to pay for all future surgeries.

Roger Tian En - Born with congenital urological problems the doctors in the PRC were unable to do anything as the problem was too complicated. Luckily, a urologist with MedArt has stepped in to help. We hope to bring Roger to Hong Kong for this complicated surgery.

2011: Tian En is now a happy boy with a bright future. He is able to walk without a limp and his spina bifida's impact on his new life is now under control. He wants to be a pastor when he grows up.

Rachel En Jia - Rachel was abandoned at our doorstep as she was born with no ears. We are now working with doctors from MedArt and from the HIS Foundation Ltd to potentially help her with reconstructive surgery to be done in Hong Kong.

En Fei - En Fei is an intersex baby and chromosomes tests in HK show that he is a boy. Many corrective surgeries will be needed.

Babies were abandoned due to severe cleft palates. En Hui is now 3 and quite a beauty after 3 surgeries but she would need speech therapy. En Hao, En Kang, En Mei also received corrective surgeries for their severe cleft palete. They will need one or two more surgeries.

En Mei, En Wei, En Cheng - They all received cleft palate corrective surgeries from HIS Foundation. They are beautiful toddlers now. It is hard to believe that they were abandoned for minor defects and came to us in cardboard boxes.

En Yi, En Hong - A lot still needs to be done with new arrivals En Yi and En Hong, both with small defects. En Yi has a severe cleft palate and En Hong has one ear without an outer ear. 

More - Other kids like Zhou Zi Guo with learning disabilities will need special attention. 

We also have needs for medical funding to provide vaccinations and minor surgeries like appendicitis, lazy-eye and other eye problems. We ask for your prayers for continuous blessings on our kids needing medical help.
